<image:caption>Private Bio-Cremation - your pet is placed in a separate chamber for Bio-Cremation and their ashes are returned to you in an urn to keep or for scattering. Customized Wooden Urns - Carved top urns (see image below) can be custom engraved with any phrase/text/image you wish, including your pet’s paw print* (*as long as pet is over 3#, we are unable to engrave smaller prints in most cases, we are always happy to try, they don’t tend to turn out very well) Communal Bio-Cremation - your pet is placed with other pets for Bio-Cremation and ashes are not returned. Your pet's ashes will be scattered with other pets to return to the natural cycle of life.</image:caption>

<image:caption>24 Dec 2010- 8 Nov 2020 My sweet Penny was rescued from a puppy mill. The day I got her, I promised her a life where there would never again be abuse or hunger... Just love. I had the honor of being her Mom for just under 8 years. I held her little tired body as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I know she will be waiting for me when it is my time. Until we meet again my precious baby girl.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Remembering our Scooter</image:title>
<image:caption>April 14, 2000 - August 21, 2017 Scooter passed away on the afternoon of the solar eclipse on August 21, 2017 leaving us for the bigger universe. He was 17+ years old. Scooter helped us raise five beautiful grandchildren with amazing tolerance. He loved doing tricks for them as long as the treats kept coming. Scooter took his job of patrolling and guarding the house seriously. His favorite post was lying on top of the sofa in the front room looking out the window. Up until his last few months, Scooter answered every doorbell with utmost enthusiasm if not downright suspicion. Scooter never forgot to remind us when it was his meal time. He was reluctant to take walks unless he had an entourage of family members and then would take the lead. He loved finding sun spots to nap in but disdained the rain. In his younger years Scooter climbed Iron Mountain. A little dog but mighty in spirit. He floated the Willamette in a kayak wearing his life vest, of course. A high point in his life was chasing five deer from the neighbor's yard making sure they were well down the street. He came back tail curled up in pride. Burrowing in the bed covers was first on the list of his Dachshund's Bill of Rights. The best part of every day for Scooter was having everyone home so he could relax. Preferably on the couch with his favorite blanket and next to a family member. All he really wanted in life was to be with us. How could we be so fortunate. We love and miss you so much, Scooter.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Zorro</image:title>
<image:caption>Zorro was his name, but I knew him by more, my terms of endearment were part of our core. Mr. Pesty, my pookus, my little boy, an inter-species communication joy. On long trails we walked together curious, free with no fetter. You led the way home and kept me on track. There was no pathfinding skill that you lacked. Now, on our routes, a phantom form; the fur, the trot, the sniffing stop, a questioning stare. My boy, my boy he will always be there, just little ahead, off in the distance. My love for him no relent in persistence.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Angus Walter</image:title>
<image:caption>March 2013 - July 2, 2021 I recently put my sweet boy Angus to rest after we discovered he had untreatable Lymphoma at 8 years young. I adopted Angus in Winter 2015. He was found wandering the streets in the snow and even though he was chipped, no one claimed him. He was very likely abandoned. He was very spicy and downright scary sometimes, so I figured he had a rough go in his first two years of life. But I had to stick it out with him because I knew that they would kill him if I returned him for aggression. Eventually he learned to trust me and even though he could be feisty at times, I loved him with all my heart and gave him the respect he deserved and the worst of it subsided. He was also the most loving, sweet boy and he would wake me up every morning and greet me every afternoon when I got home from work. We often snuggled and he got lots of lovies every day and was a big time drooler, but it was ok. He was my baby and I loved him. I miss him SO MUCH. He was taken from me too soon and I will never forget him and the special bond we had.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Penny Joy Graham</image:title>
<image:caption>Penny was ALWAYS over-the-top happy, thus her middle name. She was a force in my neighborhood where she had friends of all ages—a real social butterfly. She died much sooner than I expected for a small dog. If I could have had another 10 years with her, it wouldn’t have been long enough. But I feel blessed that she was, basically, healthy until she wasn’t—so her suffering was short. I know she is now being a cheerleader for my dogs that went before her to the Rainbow Bridge and she’ll lead them all to me when the time comes. RIP Penny Joy, January 29, 2009–September 5, 2020.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Jack Edwards</image:title>
<image:caption>July 2020 He was an amazing survivor and the best companion for our family. I rescued him 15 1/2 years ago from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter in Santa Fe, NM. He was 9 mths old at the time, and I was a shelter volunteer along with my daughter. He caught my eye, and it was love at first sight! We lived most of his life in Santa Fe, where he was the only kitty of ours to survive coyotes. He was a very smart cat and really knew how to take care of himself, though he always had access to safety inside. When we moved to California, we lived for a year in an RV resort. It sadly had many feral kitties that had previously been abandoned there. We found out that he had a very compassionate heart for the cats, and he brought 4 starving cats of various ages to our RV to get fed and have some attention - which we provided. He loved those kitties, but sadly they one by one disappeared... I would watch him go looking for them under other people's RV's or in the bushes, but he never ever found them. That was very sad for us all... Upon moving to Oregon, Jack was once again in another RV resort. He found new excitements and friends, and again he found the most desperate kitties in a bad situation. A neighbor of ours had their cats caged in a rabbit cage... It was terrible and we reported it, of course. Until that was resolved, he would spend hours sitting next to these poor cats' cage. His compassionate heart showed itself once again! We soon moved into a beautiful apartment in Corvallis, in a very pet friendly community. By this time, though, Jack was starting to show some signs of aging and slowing down. We told him it was time for his retirement. He only went outside with one of us by his side and we kept his sensitive soul safe. He and our 15 1/2 yr old dog became very old retired dudes together. They would sit together and just keep each other company. We had to put our dear dog down in April of this year, and Jack's health started to quickly deteriorate after that sadness. Jack lost his battle with diabetes on July 5, 2020. Our home is very empty without our boys.... Thank you for letting me share Jack's story!</image:caption>

<image:caption>11/15/2004 - 7/15/2017 Trout was Ark Animal Hospital's Clinic cat. A special needs kitty that had suffered a broken pelvis and resulting hip arthritis as she got older. She enjoyed her time at the clinic greeting clients and scowling at other pets (and hated her medication). The clinic isn't quite the same without her devious pranks and stealing your chair when you get up to get an invoice from the printer. We all miss her!</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Boomer Bishop</image:title>
<image:caption>April 2003- April 8, 2020 Boomer was a Red Heeler, the fluffiest, cutest, little puppy of the litter! He had one floppy ear that stayed floppy most of his life, then started standing up like the other not many years ago. My husband and I had him for half of our lives. Boomer was 17 years old. He was our fluffy, grumpy ol’ man! Boomer loved to chase and catch a ball any and every time anyone would throw it for him! Any time he wasn’t chasing a ball he was stealing our spots on the couch, bed or in a laundry basket. Boomer didn’t really like new people and always “healed” them. But when we had our kids he was always so good with them. His favorite thing was getting treats from our boys. We miss Boomer so much! We know he’s pain free, running wild and hopefully chasing balls! -Brent and Amber Bishop</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Toby</image:title>
<image:caption>Toby was our perfect Springer Spaniel. We got him at 8 weeks of age and loved him for almost 12 years. He loved to run in the fields as we took our daily walk. I would go 2 miles and he went 6 or more. He loved to sleep with us and travel in the car. He crossed the United States 6 times in his life at about 6000 miles a trip. He was great on the road. Sadly when he was 9 and a half he got SARDS (Sudden Acute Retinal Degradation) and went totally blind overnight. After that he slowly got sicker and sicker until his kidneys failed. He was a real trooper up to the end. We miss him every day. Love you Toby!</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Gunner Jacobson</image:title>
<image:caption>Unknown-12/25/2019 Gunner was about 4 years old when he arrived in Oregon from Montana. He was raised by a good friend of the family, and was given a new home here in Oregon. For the next period of about 7 years, he was brought up in a loving family of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends of mine. For a few months, he was reared in the household of a close relative, and friend. His final home was at my house. Gunner was a very well behaved dog, but you wouldn’t want your children coming around him while he’s eating (he didn’t like to be bothered at that time). He didn’t mind other dogs, as long as they weren’t bothering him (he was a lot more patient with dogs than he was with kids at mealtime). He did have a hard time with smaller dogs though. He loved all sorts of people. As far as I’m aware of, he’s never bit anyone, but he has growled at people he didn’t like. He was also protective of his territory, so if anyone came over, you would know (good dog Gunner :) )! Gunner died on Christmas Day 2019 when he was about 14-15 years old. He’s a Black Lab/Great Dane mix. Gunner enjoyed car rides, belly rubs (when he would roll over), friends, and family. His favorite foods were French fries, and pizza. He could also talk! He would say “I love you”, “I want one”, and “I love my momma”. He could also make noises like an engine! Michael Jacobson</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Maggie Cusimano</image:title>
<image:caption>6/1/05-12/31/20 We received Maggie’s remains last week and decided to respond to your offer to provide photos and stories as we grieve the loss of our gentle soul and companion. Maggie “found us” at the Corvallis Farmer’s Market in July 2005. Though at the time we had no intention of adopting a dog, we stopped to greet a family with two Lab puppies remaining from a litter of nine. I picked up the female and in short order she was asleep in my arms. And so began 15 1/2 years of unconditional love and adventure. From day one Maggie was a sweet, smart and serene spirit. She spent much of her first year of life sharing my counseling office for a half-day each weekday, intuiting when and how to offer comfort to sometimes angry or sad elementary school children. Even at that young age, she showed a unique gentleness and loving kindness with both humans and animals. Everyone was a potential friend and playmate. Maggie was also a typical Lab who loved to run, eat, run, fetch, eat, run, swim, walk, eat, run, eat and cuddle. She collected balls of every type, but preferred baseballs and tennis balls. For more than eleven years, Maggie and I shared thousands of miles running trails in McDonald Research Forest, Peavy Arboretum and Willamette Park, often ending with a swim in Cronemiller Lake, Oak Creek or the Willamette River. When she wanted attention at home, rather than bark Maggie developed a unique way of getting it, by employing a move we came to call the “jump turn.” This either meant that she was ready to go outside, or demand we turn our attention completely on her for some playtime or a cuddle on the floor. Over her last few years Maggie especially loved walking around the Oregon State campus, often sniffing out baseballs outside the fences at Goss Stadium, and enjoying the attention she received from OSU students. Her favorite treat at the end of a walk or a run, was a large cup of ice cubes provided with a ready smile and often a biscuit from the student baristas at Dutch Bros Coffee, across from Gill Coliseum. She enjoyed her final cup of ice on the morning of her last day. We’d like to extend our thanks especially to Best Friends Doggie Day Care, for helping to socialize, train and love Maggie from her earliest days as a young pup. Thanks to Drs. Lewer, Kalenius, Porter and everyone at Willamette Veterinary Hospital for saving Maggie’s life five years ago, as well as for the great care they offered Maggie and us over her last year. Thanks also to Dr. Julia Moore, whose regular massage and acupressure treatments this past year helped ease Maggie’s pain and discomfort. Finally, thanks to you at Peaceful Heart Aquamation for helping us as we grieve the loss of our soulmate. Dominic & Barb Cusimano</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Kodiak Brenner</image:title>
<image:caption>unknown - 10/25/2019 You guys took care of our sweet girl Kodiak after she passed on 10/25. We are so grateful to you for your gentle care and compassionate kindness. It makes such a difference. We would love if you included this tribute to her on your memorials page. I'm attaching a few photos but leave it up to you which ones to include, depending on space and layout/formatting We met our beloved Kodiak at Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene on March 2, 2013. She had been in the shelter for six months and the staff there told us that she had arrived in terrible shape: she was missing fur, was very underweight, and had broken teeth. The staff also told us that she was one of the sweetest dogs they'd ever met, that she was a wonderful presence with the residents at the Alzheimer's Home where she would go with a volunteer, and that they couldn't understand why nobody had adopted her yet. We took her home that day, and within our first week together she completely stole our hearts with her soulful eyes, mischievous spunk (like eating a whole pizza when no one was looking), her zest for life (and squirrels) and her gentle sweetness. We are so glad and grateful we could give her a safe and cozy home with soft places to lounge in every room, lots of snuggles, daily walks and adventures, and all our love, but she gave us so much more in return. She was our first dog and we will miss her for forever, but feel her deep in our hearts and love knowing that with your help, she's part of the beautiful ecosystem we all share. <image:caption>Aislyn was big, beautiful, and sassy. She was unfortunately diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the middle of her life, and stopped being able to walk less then 2 weeks after we found out. She is missed by us and her life partner Ragnar (our St. Bernard) dearly. We let her spend her final days doing everything she enjoyed—stalking our turkeys, loving on Ragnar, and eating all the snacks. Jump free and easy sweet girl. You are so missed.</image:caption>

<image:title>Pet Memorials - Tinker Cook</image:title>
<image:caption>unknown-8/17/2019 I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my beloved, sweet Tinker to sleep. She was an older dog, and became ill just before our vacation at the coast. We spent two glorious days on the beach together before it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge. Because it was a Saturday and we were out of town, I had to take her to Willamette Veterinary Hospital instead of my regular vet. They were so kind and compassionate and helped me through a very painful process with care and kindness. They told me about your services while I was there. I am so grateful that I was able to have her ashes back in a beautiful wooden box and the fur clipping and paw print mean more to me than words can describe. Thank you so much. We rescued Tinker from a shelter 12 years ago and I am so thankful we got her. She was an amazing dog, so intelligent, loyal, soulful, and full of spunk. I miss her so, but I am so lucky our paths crossed. Sincerely, Nirvana Cook</image:caption>
